Holly Taymar
Biography:
Somewhere between folk, jazz and blues, lies the music of Holly Taymar.
With a shimmering, achingly beautiful voice, delicate, finger picked acoustic guitar, a repertoire of unpretentious songs, a naturally warm stage presence and rapport with accompanist Christopher Bilton (mandolin, cajon, banjo, glockenspiel), Holly has truly earned her reputation as one of the North’s most respected young acoustic performers.
Over the last few years, Holly has gigged constantly and supported the likes of The Wedding Present, Martha Tilston, Otis Gibbs and Boo Hewerdine. She has also earned recognition from the BBC New Talent initiative for her songwriting prowess, and performed extensively in the UK including appearances at Stainsby Festival, Beverley Folk Festival and the Deer Shed Festival.
