Big Blue Festival is one of the premier extreme sports festivals and is a fantastic opportunity to get your band on stage at a high profile event. Unfortunately Big Blue Festival has been cancelled for 2010. All acts who applied will receive a full refund.

Based on The Isle of Wight known as a centre of excellence for outdoor sports, and with years of extreme sports heritage there will be over 20 extreme sports, 'play' where you the public try the sports, top level competitions and jams, sports displays, huge charity 'Extreme Mile' event, trade and retail, and the Getmeonstage Live Stage music to chill out to on the green, and party with at the massive Big Blue Party!
The Big Blue Freesports Park provides a dramatic festival centrepiece, covering multiple extreme sports with professional displays and competitions in everything from BMX and Skateboard, to Beat Box, Graffiti Jams and Park DJs and much more...
Eleven acts (bands/solo artists/duos) will be chosen through www.getmeonstage.com to play the main stage at the Big Blue Festival; three on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday days and two on the Saturday evening before the festival main headliner. Previous acts to have played the festival include The Pigeon Detectives, The Bees and Rob Da Bank, with the main stage attracting thousands of music fans each year.
How will the selection process work? See it as a competition! The winning band will have the main support, before the headiners, the main runner up will be on directly before the winner and the nine other runner ups will be spread across the three days.
The chosen bands will all receive passes for the whole 3 day festival and return ferry journey tickets to and from the Isle of Wight plus guest passes for their friends. How good is that!!!
Each of the eleven chosen bands will also receive a CD of photos of their performance taken by a professional music photographer.
