Description
Friends of Mine began as a club night for new bands and singer-songwriters in Manchester, England, in 2004. FOM rapidly gained a cult following, putting on shows at nearly every venue in the city, and by 2009 there were residencies in Liverpool and London. In 2011 FOM comes out from the underground to stage its first green field festival on 20th, 21st, 22nd May. Three GMOS acts (one on each day) will be playing this excellent new festival!

Friends of Mine Festival will take place at Capesthorne Hall, a beautiful site just 14 miles south of Manchester on the weekend of the 20th – 22nd May 2011.
3 acts from submissions through www.getmeonstage.com will be chosen to play at the 2011 Friends of Mine Festival. So far the 2011 line up includes, THE CHARLATANS, THE CRIBS, BADLY DRAWN BOY, BUZZCOCKS, THE LIGHTNING SEEDS, THE FALL, TORO Y MOI, BAD LIEUTENANT, YOUNG KNIVES, CHERRY GHOST, DAVID MCALMONT, TWISTED WHEEL, FACTORY FLOOR, A CERTAIN RATIO, THE WEDDING PRESENT, THE PHANTOM BAND, THE VIRGIN MARYS, GET CAPE WEAR CAPE FLY, THE LONGCUT, JIM NOIR, DUTCH UNCLES, DETROIT SOCIAL CLUB, THE FARM, TWISTED WHEEL and loads more.........
The successful acts will receive weekend tickets for the festival for each band member and food and drink in the backstage area.
This is the first Friends of Mine Festival and it's going to be amazing.
